Bewdley Care is a family run home care agency with over 35 years experience in the sector. Our Clients are those who, because of increasing age or disability, find it difficult to cope with daily living tasks. Our dependable care service can support adults and elderly members of the community to maintain their independence and personal dignity within their own home.
Support is undertaken by our highly trained, dedicated and caring staff. We have always prided ourselves on delivering regular timings and regular carers, as we know from our research that continuity is the key to customer satisfaction. We provide care services to both the public and private sectors and operate within the areas of Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Wordsley and Wallheath.
Our approachable management team are here and ready to navigate you through your queries and questions. We offer a free care consultation and, if you wish to go ahead, will draw up a personalised plan of care, steered by you and your chosen representatives. For your reassurance we operate an "out of hours" emergency telephone service as we recognise that care does not end at 5pm and start again at 9am!
Bewdley Care is registered, and therefore licensed to provide services, by the Care Quality Commission (Provider ID: 1-1232951765) (Previously known as Bewdley Social Care Provider ID 1-101720539). So, as a fully insured agency, with years of experience behind us you can relax; you’re in safe hands.
Bewdley Care was founded when owners Peter and Georgina Longmore bought the business from 2 district nurses from Bewdley in 1988 and for some years we operated from a small spare room in our house.
We soon gained a contract with Dudley MBC and grew in size (and office space!) and have provided a loyal service to the communities of Dudley ever since. Our daughter Kate joined us in 2000, sharing our dedication to the industry and is now surrounded by a long standing team of multi skilled managers who are as passionate about our business as we are. We are here to promote independence, and support service-users in their mission to achieve their outcomes and goals, however big or small they may be. We promote a ‘can do’ attitude and support the concept of positive risk taking.
Transparency - Although we try our very best, occasionally we get things wrong. We believe in flagging up our errors in an open and honest way so that we can put things right and introduce measures to continually improve. People deserve apologies and to know what went wrong and why and this remains our approach.
Collaboration - We can’t deliver a good service alone and this is where our partnership working comes in. We strongly believe that in order to work well, a service needs to be ‘joined up’, involving loved ones/representatives, other professionals on a local level, extending out to governing bodies, all working together to achieve a service level that our Client’s deserve.
Your Carer will be able to undertake personal care services such as helping you to get up in the morning, washing, dressing, toileting, bed making and support with managing medication.

Your carer can prepare your choice of breakfast and other meals/snacks throughout the day. They can also stay with you while you eat for company and motivation purposes.

Your carer will be willing to undertake light domestic tasks such as hoovering, dusting and general cleaning and/or laundry management.

We offer both a flexible overnight service to meet each person’s individual needs throughout the night and also a day sitting service to provide company and stimulation for those who may feel isolated and/or a few hours respite for family members who may be feeling the strain of caring for their loved one round the clock.
